Car crashes are a leading cause of death for children in the United States. Texas law requires that children be properly restrained in a car seat or booster until age 8 OR 4’9".
At our Child Passenger Safety event, our Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs) will verify that you have the correct child seat for your child. They will ensure that your child seat is not on recall and teach you how to properly install the child seat.
Our technicians require caregiver participation. They are not car seat installers. The primary focus of our CPSTs is to ensure that the caregiver has the information needed to be able to install their child's seat correctly.
Things to consider prior to arrival:
1. Car Seat with documentation if possible.
2. Vehicle manual if possible.
3. Child must be present so that we can ensure the seat is fitted correctly to the child.
4. If the child absolutely could not come to the event, we must have the child's age and accurate height/weight.
